It was around 10 PM, the first night after the students had arrived at Apollo Academy. A blanket of stars were spread across the sky; there were hardly any lights on the island, and so the stars were allowed to shine with all their brilliance. The field seemed to go on and on, a timeless expanse covered with lush grass and rolling hills. A few lone trees were speckled across the landscape, and underneath one of them was a boy, around the age of 17. His mahogany colored hair was being blown around his face by a gentle breeze, and his kind, thoughtful eyes were opened wide with wonder at the indigo sky above him.
Silas, having been going to this school for the past few years, had taken his time putting away his belongings and speaking with his old friends. After attending the first dinner service and spending some time on the beach, he had retired to the field, one of the only places where he felt at home and at ease. A much-used acoustic guitar was resting on his right leg, a pick clutched lazily in his hand.
As the breeze blew past again, Silas took his gaze away from the sky and down to the instrument in his lap. He plucked a few strings, producing a soft, clear sound. The wind suddenly picked up, rustling the leaves of the tree above him and causing a few to land on and around him. A few more plucked strings, and the wind died down again. Silas smiled in quiet amusement.
((ANYONE may reply to this thread. I thought we may just want to have a separate roleplay, and I was dying to use Silas.))

"Wolfies... Why are you following me?! And more importantly why are you out!?" A commanding voice called out semi-quietly into the shadows, that surrounded the dark art room. A lean and tall male came out from the shadows, his golden-red eyes gleaming. A frown graced the taller man's pale red lips, two gleaming white wolf-fangs could be seen in the moonlight that shown from the window. "Why?" The man parroted, his tone clearly playful. A man around 6' foot could be seen, his spiky black hair and blood red at the tips. Black wolf ears which were also blood red tipped twitched slightly. A long black wolf tail, also blood red tipped swayed slightly. The male was wearing a black t-shirt with a red X on the front, two large holes were at the back of his shirt, because of black and blood red angel wings were formed form his back. The man was wearing black jeans with red lines down the sides, and black and blood red tennis shoes. The man's skin was as pale as the moon, claws could be seen, just barely from the limited light the moon prided. This winged-wolf male was indeed the man known as Wolfies.
Much to annoyance of the short dirty blond haired woman, wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, a dark gray t-shirt and black and white sneakers. "Don't mock me! I'm not in the mood for your mindless games!" The woman growled in a commanding and clearly annoyed tone.
Wolfies, clearly the age of 24, making him one year older then the woman before him. The 24 year old was gone in a flash, fading into the darkness and appearing behind the woman. A pale hand reached downward and tilted her head upward, so that she was now staring into the darkness that shadowed his face. The man leaned down and whispered into her ear. "Don't stay out too late, tonight, Ashurii-chan..." The man whispered as he pressed his lips against her scarred cheek and then pulled away faded from view, just like all of her creations, they faded from view, like they weren't even there.
The art teacher, gingerly touched her cheek where Wolfies had kissed her good night. After a minute of daydreaming, she slapped herself. "Stop messing with my head, Wolfies!" She growled to no one in particular. She really hated it when Wolfies did what he did. She glanced around the darkened art room before making her way out of the art room, closing the door and leaving it unlocked, encase any of her students wanted to use the art room at this hour of night. As the woman walked through the darkened hallways, her mind wandered, leaving her feet to lead the body to where ever it wanted to go.
Ashley, Ashley Wolfy, was the art teacher obviously, but she could easily pass for a student, to those who didn't know her.
The woman was out snapped out of her thoughts as a slight tune reached her ears, or rather the hum of guitar strings reached her ears. And the wind getting stronger. The woman blinked her gray eyes and looked around. She had no idea her feet would carry her all the way to the field. She heard the hum of guitar strings again, and the wind that had picked up suddenly had died down again. That was all it took for her to know who was here. It was Silas Hayden.
Ashley let her lips pull up into a smile. She had to admit the male was good when it came to playing the guitar. She decided to have a little fun with him. Just to give him a hard time. She walked over to him, and once she was few feet from the tree, she stopped, her eyes looking down at the amber eyed male. "Causing trouble are we?" She asked, her tone was clearly light and joking. "May I ask, why are you out here?" She asked, her tone wasn't demanding in any way, and she wasn't going to make him tell her if he didn't want to.

"Almost there, Auretta!" A soft voice, barely louder than a whisper trailed across the breeze. Of course, the only being able to hear her was a small bird no bigger than a sparrow, but with a white belly and hazel brown plummage. It was perched on a girl's hand, which she held up to her face. The bird was looking at her with its dark brown eyes, although the starlight barely gave the human enough light to make its colors. Instead, it opened its beak to give a cheerful reply in soft chirps, fluttering its wings restlessly.
Tarja laughed, sweeping her hair back from her face as a breeze struck up, a little stronger than before. Its dark strands seemed to always want to obstruct her view by tickling her eyelids. Maybe she could get it cut soon. Auretta, her pet nightingale chirped and protested again, causing her to shake her head and sigh. "Alright, alright, I get it." she allowed, taking in a deep breath and locating the track that she wanted mentally. She had forgotten to load up her iPod, so now its batteries were dead. But nevertheless, she could sing.
"Who's there, knocking at my window, the owl and the dead boy, this night whispers my name, all the dying children..." Tarja lifted her head, mimicking the voice of Anette Olzon, the main singer of the Finnish band Nightwish perfectly. "Virgin snow beneath my feet, painting the world in white. I tread my way and lose myself into a tale." The nightingale was quiet, mesmerized by Tarja's singing. This was her favorite song, especially the chorus. "A nightingale in a golden cage, that's me locked inside reality's maze. Come someone make my heavy heart light, come undone bring me back to life!" Tarja broke into the chorus, deliberately skipping the pre-chorus. As if on cue, when she started the chorus, the wind picked up, and as she finished the word "life", the wind calmed again, leaving the open field quiet, except for the clear guitar that seemed to come from their right. "Well, Auretta, want to investigate?" Tarja asked, reverting back to her normal voice. The nightingale spread its wings and took off, chirping as she glided off in the direction of the guitar. "Ok then, wait up." Tarja said in a softer voice as she hummed the rest of "The Escapist" to herself, following the bird's general direction as she flew eagerly.
Auretta saw two people, one, a male with a guitar, and the other a female, looking slightly older than the male. She glided down, landing on the boy's left shoulder, chirping quietly into his ear, as if making her presence known to all three humans present.
(( Well, that's a taste of Tarja and Auretta for ya. ^^ ))

Silas glanced up, startled. He hadn't even heard the teacher approach, much less seen her. "Hello, Ms. Volfy," he replied, his accent murdering her last name. He grinned. "You know me, alvays getting into trouble." With a stroke of his hand, the breeze picked up again. "I just thought I vould get avay from zhe crowd. After being stuck in zhat mob practically all day, I needed to get some fresh air." He cocked his head in curiousity. "May I ask vhy you're out here?" He assumed that all of the teachers were doing their last preparations for the next day, the first actual day of school. In fact, he should probably be getting back, too, to get enough rest for what was sure to be a busy day.
As he waited for her answer, a bird, out of nowhere, perched on his shoulder and announced itself to him. 'That's unusual,' he thought, frowning. He looked out from the general direction that the bird had came from, and noticed another female figure approaching. "Ah, so you're a pet, eh?" He looked up into the tree that he was sitting under and gave a sharp whistle. On cue, a dark red-winged blackbird sailed out of the tree and landed on the ground near him, chattering. It glanced up at the nightingale curiously, then gave a shrill chirp before flitting up to Silas's other shoulder.
Silas chuckled, looking back at the two women. "Vhat can I say? Animals love me." Ink, the blackbird, chittered again, as if agreeing with him.

Ashley could only chuckle at how he got startled so easily. Then again if one didn't hear or see someone's approach and said person snuck up on them, it was only natural for them to jump or become startled.
The woman knew the male's accent would murder her last name, and she really didn't care, she liked his accent. "Makes sense. I don't blame you for wanting to get away. Imagen how the teachers feel? We had to help said students and frankly I know tomorrow will be allot worse than today." The gray eyed woman said as she shrugged her shoulders and sighed. "Why am I here? Well same as you. I already finished my preparations for my classes. I decided to come to the field and relax for a bit." She said with a kind smile.
Ashley's attention was diverted toward the girl. "Tarja, how are you?" the woman asked upon seeing one of her students.
Ashley's gray gaze was diverted again, this time toward the two birds perched on the male's shoulders. "Seems so." She said agreeing with him. "Animals likes humans who are of good heart." She said nodding her head.
(It's not that great...)

Auretta chirped as the boy talked to her, recognising a foreign accent, heavier and less musical than Tarja's Finnish accent. He gave a sharp whistle, which summoned a bird with chestnut wing feathers and a sharper call. It called to her, as if it was greeting her rather than berating her for landing on his master. She chirped back, rustling her feathers and adjusting her perch as the wind picked up again. The other blackbird flew to perch on the boy's other shoulder. It was bigger than she was, but Auretta wasn't intimidated. It seemed friendly enough.
"Good evening, Miss Wolfy." Tarja said in her musical Finnish accent. A soft smile was on her face as she heard the nightingale chirp, holding her hand out as the bird flew towards her. "And once again to you, Auretta." She added as Auretta returned the greeting with her chirps. She turned to the boy with the guitar. "I don't believe I have seen you before--have I?" She asked semi-curiously. He didn't look like he was a new person, especially if he was that comfortable around here. But it wasn't like she knew every single person around in her few years of being here. She wasn't the type to socialize. Tarja knew Ms. Wolfy since she took art, but other than that, she didn't know any other occupant of this area.
She looked at Silas again, spotting the black bird that sat on his shoulder. "And you like birds too?" She asked him. "Oh, and I'm Tarja Kerrata." She added for the sake of being polite.
